PARENTS & CAST- There is a mandatory meeting after rehearsal this Sunday at 6:00. Again, I know this is late notice but again we have had some wonderful opportunities come our way this week and we need to share these with you. Please make it if at all possible. If you can't attend, send an email to the True Voice mail box with your phone number so a staff meeting can reach out to you personally.

A huge heads up, for our scheduled promotions... we will be doing Flash Mobs with Muses and Princess Pack girls. Schedule Changes and Costumes *Please Read*

Cast and family, here is some important information regarding schedule changes within TrueVoice and the Princess Pages. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Theatre Workshop has been cancelled due to lack of participation/scheduling conflicts. We can hold them in the future is 10 or more people sign up Please contact me if you'd like to be "signed up," for future classes.

Rehearsal schedule for this coming Tuesday 3/8 is changed due to scheduling conflicts with many of our participants. Instead of running the show full cast top to bottom we will only call Principal Parts. *If you have already advised of a schedule conflict and you are a principal please do not worry about missing* The following roles please come to rehearsal next Tuesday if possible: Mother Nancy, Sarah, FGM, Young Prince "Charming," Magic Mirror Megan, Witch Lucy, Cindi, Pocho, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Giselle, Tiana, Jasmine, Aladdin, and Esmeralda. We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have caused.

This Sunday we will start giving props and costumes for the chorus scenes. We will also be taking a collection of any and all fancy/prom type dresses any could loan to our Princess Pack.

My Princess Pack girls, if you already have the perfect dress you want to wear... please let me know as soon as possible, so I'll know how many dresses we will need over all. Thanks everyone!

Sunday, February 27, 2011

The Princess Pack *Costumes* (Everyone please read)

The Princess Pack has unanimously decided to wear fancy/prom dresses as their costumes for "It's All About The Shoes." So... if any cast members have a dress they wouldn't mind letting someone in our Princess Pack borrow we would greatly, greatly appreciate it. (The dress will be returned to you after the show.)

In the next few days, please start bringing your fancy/prom dresses to rehearsal so that Rebecca can collect them. Then on Sunday 3/6, we will hold a costuming session where each girl can pick out her dress/try it on and take it home with her. (For those lending dresses, don't worry I will keep up with which dress went to whom.)

Princess Pack please come to rehearsal @ 3:30 instead of 4:30 on Sunday 3/6 for costuming. Thanks!

Music!

I know this is late, so sorry for that but as they say... better late than never! If you click on the links or post then into your internet browser you should be able to access and print the music that we ran out of on our first read through. Please send us an email if you have any problems. Thanks!

Updates on our first cast rehearsal

Last night's read through went so smoothly. Every one was focused and expressed a high level of enthusiasm for their role for which the production team was totally blown away. The Muses and The Princess Pack, got into their roles very quickly and were just delightful. We are so thankful to have talented cast members like you in our midst!

Last night we were able to cast for, "Little Town-Belle," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," and "Down in New Orleans." If you were absent please send us an email and let us know if you are interested in being in these scenes. Down in New Orleans requires prior dance experience but any one can join the other two. *Please note* If you commit yourself to these scenes it means you must show up to those rehearsals.

*Parents* I have added many of your emails to our distro. If you do not want to get updates please email me and let me know.

Theatre Workshop If at all possible, I highly recommend signing up for our Theatre Workshop Every Saturday afternoon from 2-4 PM starting March 5 and ending April 30th. This will give you a little bit of an edge on perfecting your vocals, line delivery and theatre movement. Tuition is $125 for 8 sessions. Please contact Rebecca Housley 720-205-2954 to sign up or email us.

*Reminder* Several of you forgot to print and bring your contract and production fee. You can choose the payment plan but we need at least $25 as soon as possible so we can put our deposits down on the sound equipment, venue space and band. You can either bring your payment to your next rehearsal or, just send it in the mail to TrueVoice Studio Attn: Scott Merchant 2150 S. Bellaire Ave. Denver CO 80210. If you mail it please be sure and send us an email to let us know to expect it through the mail.

*Scripts* Yikes, some of our scripts went missing. If you borrowed one and didn't turn it in... please bring it to us on your next rehearsal date. You are welcome to purchase one for $5, if you so desire.

*Music* We're so sorry we ran out of music last night. Please know we will get you the music you are missing as soon as possible.

*Blog* Please don't forget to join the blog... the address is: http://www.truevoicestudio.blogspot.com/

Again, you guys are the BEST cast ever. It is thrilling to think in a couple of months we'll be sharing this fabulous story with our community. Thank you all for your hard work and commitment!

Letter from Scott

Hello My Amazing Cast and Artist Community!!!!

Rehearsals are well underway and we are SO excited to be working with such a talented group of people! I am truly blessed to have you all join us on this journey (remember the Journey is the Key!)

Im writing to all of our Moms and Dads (and grandparents) out there to let you know that we are looking for some help in some specific areas.

The first thing Im desperate for is some folks to help us with our costumes. I have 100 costumes to complete in 90 days and I only have 2 costumers. So if there are parents out there who are good around a sewing machine and can actually make some costumes for us we would be ELATED! :)

The second thing Im looking for is a couple of folks who know how to build sets who can help us to make some platforms for our stage. If you have build experience please let me know!! :)

Finally there will be, in a month or so, a "build day" when we paint and build and make things for our space. My goal is to transform the space into a beautiful venue. The white walls will be covered with leaves and things to make it look amazing. We want to make the audience feel that they have entered into a magical space! I'll need everyones help in this.

Also, I will be sending out fundraising/ticket sale info in the next week or so!

So for any of you who are interested in any of this?? Please let me know my friends!!! :)

Lets keep moving towards our Happily Ever After!

Warmest Regards,

Scott Merchant

A letter from Director Kate Smith

Congratulations to the VERY talented cast of The Princess Pages!

I am so very happy and lucky to be working with a cast of such amazing talent! I can't wait to see how far we all grow together. In my experience, a cast that plays together stays together. And as corny as that sounds I truly believe in what it says. The only way to create an amazing show and experience is through respect, honestly and trust. The more of this that we give each other through this process the more we will all get out of the experience. There is not a single person in this extremely talented cast that I do not expect wonderful things out of, the auditions were just amazing. I want you all to know what you can expect from me. Along with the above-mentioned respect, honesty, and trust, you can expect that I will push you to grow not only as an actor, but hopefully as a friend as well. Any concerns or problems can always be brought to me, with the knowledge that anything will be treated in the best and most objective way I can. But above all, this show is going to be SO MUCH FUN! You all are marvelous and gifted and this show is going to be exceptional. Thank you all up-front so much for your time and your talent, I am so blessed to be able to work with all of you. Let’s make this one of the most enlightening and most enjoyable shows you all (and I of course) have ever been apart of. Thanks again for being a part of The Princess Pages!

the other principal roles. It is our hope to increase our performances from 4 shows to 6
shows. If this is possible, we fully intend, judging by preparation of the Cover, to allow our
Covers 12 performances as their covered role. If you have any questions or comments
about this please feel free to speak to Scott or Kate.

Just the Beginning...

Tomorrow is the beginning of our auditions for The Princess Pages and it's hard to contain my excitement as we prepare to hear from over 100 folks wanting to participate in our biggest musical to date! I look at the many roles we're casting and think back to a time when we had a handful of people signed up to audition and I thought I would have to cut some main roles. Now my thought process is, depending on the talent level of those auditioning, I may need to (not only double cast) but do a 3rd junior show for my many younger interested artists.
My hope for the next 3 days of auditioning, is that everyone scheduled to audition for the show will bring their A game. That the level of excitement for this show I've experienced from your comments, posts, phone calls and in person, will shine through you. If that happens and the level of talent that I think is there, appears in these auditions... I will have no other choice than to cast 3 separate casts, which exceeds my wildest dreams for this production.
I challenge all of you to make that happen! ~True Voice
